9ine's Statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The situation with regards to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is developing on a daily basis across the globe and new measures and protections continue to be implemented. We understand that although school buildings may be closed, many schools continue to provide on-campus learning and care for students, including the children of essential workers and  boarding school students.

We also understand that at this time, teachers are working around the clock to deliver lessons remotely and solve the challenges that remote learning presents. It’s encouraging to report that we are also working to support schools in some regions including China, many of whom are 9ine clients that are preparing to re-open their school buildings and resume the school day on-campus. At this time, 9ine’s priority is the health of our employees, our clients and the community as a whole. We will continue to monitor and comply with all guidance provided by the UK government and the World Health Organisation (WHO) regarding working practices and behaviours. 9ine has instigated its business continuity measures and is able to continue providing the majority of our services and support to schools at a time when they may need it the most.

What does this mean for 9ine’s clients and partners?

We have business continuity plans in place and are able to continue operating key services for UK and international clients. While on-site audits and training will not go ahead at this time, much of the associated work will continue to be carried out remotely. The 9ine service desk continues to be fully operational and your 9ine consultants remain contactable via phone and email as usual. We also have the facility to run meetings and presentations via video conferencing facilities where appropriate.

We understand that many of our clients will be in uncharted territory regarding technology, remote working and the associated challenges this presents, but rest assured, 9ine are here to continue providing support where we can. If you have any questions about either your ongoing service, upcoming projects or any other challenges you are facing, please contact either your Delivery Manager, the switchboard on 0208 144 6916, or info@9ine.uk.com

What does this means for our people?

We have the following measures in place for our staff:

  • All staff are now working from home
  • All staff have work-provided laptops and have cloud-based access to all key business systems
  • Staff will only travel if deemed essential
  • Staff continue to be updated with the UK government and WHO guidance and guidelines

What happens next?

As a business, 9ine will continue to follow all relevant measures and guidelines, maintaining service to clients while prioritising the health of individuals. We will communicate any changes to the above as and when further information becomes available. We are working with clients across the globe to collate feedback and lessons learned from schools at different stages of the outbreak and will publish information on the 9ine website as we can.

9ine’s services and solutions provide a critical business tool for hundreds of schools worldwide. Today and always we feel privileged to support schools and universities with the management of risk and compliance and IT strategic management.
